In-Home Respite for Kent County Residents
In-Home Respite is special program allowing caregivers time to run errands, shop, or take a well deserved break. In-Home Respite is provided to families caring for a loved one who is experiencing memory problems.
In-Home Respite services are currently provided to residents of Kent County.
Services Include
- Companionship, talking, listening
- Light meal preparation
- Feeding your loved one
- Personal grooming
- Taking walks
- Light housekeeping
- Shopping, doing errands
- Reading, playing cards
- Orientation to day and time
Criteria for Enrollment
- 5 years or older
- Not physically harmful to self or others
- Caregiver expresses exhaustion and/or stress
Service Hours and Types
Hours of in-home services Monday - Friday, daytime hours. Services are provided by trained Senior Companion volunteers.
