Gerontology Network is just that – a network of non-profit affiliate organizations that work together to enhance the quality of life and promote the independence of older adults, their families and care providers.  Gerontology Network was established in 1979 to improve the lives of older adults in West Michigan, while preparing for the increasing aging population.  Since its inception, Gerontology Network has been continuously providing a variety of services and programs to meet the ever-changing needs of adults as they age at home. Gerontology Network has grown to provide various services including:

  • Adult Day Services provided by CareTree Adult Day Services offer a safe, caring environment where participants can socialize, participate in therapeutic activities, and receive support services and health assessments.

  • Personal Care Program provides bathing and other grooming assistance for those who cannot perform these tasks themselves.

  • Outreach and Assistance answers questions and identifies services to meet the needs of each individual, their families and caregivers in Kent County.

  • Counseling and Case Management Services help develop a personalized plan to enhance the mental and physical health of each individual client.

  • Substance Abuse Programs designed to assist individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring dependencies.
